REVEREND JOSEPH MARTIN SINGLETON

Rev. Joseph Martin Singleton was born in Fayetteville, North Carolina and was  instilled with a rich heritage from his father the late retired Sgt. Major Ambrose J. Singleton from Meridian Mississippi and his mother, the late Margaret G. Singleton from Columbia South Carolina, both activist and entrepreneurs.

From the age of 6 years old, he was standing on tabletops declaring that God's people will be free. After leaving Fayetteville, he came to East Carolina University where, in biology class, he met his best friend, confidant, prayer partner, lover and wife the former Audra S. Standifer.  They have two beautiful daughters Nikhaule O. Singleton and Nylah S. Singleton ages 11 and 9.

Pastor Singleton accepted his “calling into the ministry” While a junior at East Carolina University in 1986 and was licensed under Bishop Millus Williams Jr. of Ellis Chapel Deliverance Ministries, Wilson, NC.  In 1988, God called him to become one of the founding members of Koinonia Christian Center Church under the leadership of one of God's greatest Pastors, Preachers, Teachers and Visionaries Bishop Rosie S. O’Neal.  Serving faithfully for 16 years he was ordained by Bishop O’Neal in 1998.

Sensing a new call of God on his life, Pastor Singleton accepted the pastorate of St. John Missionary Baptist Church in Falkland, NC and there began his current assignment in November 2004.  God opened the windows of heaven and began to pour out a blessing upon this ministry using pastor Singleton and his remarkable gift to speak creatively with wisdom, passion and relative insight to reaching the hearts and souls of those who have been put down, labeled as castaways and told “no” to their visions and dreams. He encourages and ministers to people from all walks of life with his unique flow and strong anointing for deliverance; people are edified, restored, healed and set free by the power of God on his life. He is committed to preaching and teaching Christians to settle for nothing less than Gods best.

Since becoming the Pastor at St. John God has used Pastor Singleton to create an atmosphere of heart felt love and fervent spiritual praise as he lead St. John to Rise and Shine.
